How to raise prices and get more clients

All businesses aspire to get the right price for the products or services they are offering, but to do so, you must offer added value to the client. To raise your prices, your business must have a pristine reputation, especially online, given that most consumers research what they are buying before committing to a purchase.

Management of your Reputation

The concept of boosting your reputation online must be tied to excellent customer service. You can control what reviews are left on your own website, but you should aim to increase your website traffic by getting into Google’s Local Pack and Google Maps listings.

To do this, you must set up a Google My Business account. It is relatively straightforward to do this, but the verification process by mail can take up to a month. Bonus hint here. Make sure you wait 4-5 weeks before you request a new verification card, otherwise the old code will be cancelled by the new one. This means that when you enter the old code, it will be rejected and you will be back to square one.

The downside to Google reviews is that they are public, and you have no control over them. Of course, this means that if you offer shoddy customer service, you will get bad reviews, which is not conducive to a business raising its prices. Good reviews, on the other hand, show potential clients that you will offer them added value by tending to their legitimate needs.

While Google reviews are important, you should not underestimate the power of your own website. One proven strategy that you can adopt is to publish testimonials on your website. You should seek out clients and ask them to write a few words about how they feel about your business. Sometimes this can go in the “too hard” basket, but if you send them a few lines of copy which you have drafted yourself, more often than not, they will agree to publish it. You should also point out that they will also get a brand mention on your website, so there is something in it for them too. You can also publish case studies. When you write a copy, avoid talking about how good your company is, and instead focus on what pain points you have managed to address with your clients.

Crafting interesting and informative case studies is also a great way to boost your rankings on Google for specific keywords. Because you have put the project together, the copy will almost write itself. By showing potential clients that you have the know-how and that you look after existing clients post purchase, you can show that your prices are set to their true worth.
