Three most important marketing strategies to ensure cashflow

Cashflow is the lifeblood of all business activity and the best way to ensure that it stays positive is by having a full funnel of leads to convert. The three most important marketing strategies to ensure that your cashflow never runs dry are Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing and Social Pay Per Click. Confused? Don’t be. We are here to help you understand what they are and how to exploit them.

Search Engine Marketing

Search Engine Marketing is the broad term to describe increasing a website’s visibility on the internet. This is usually split up into PPC (Pay Per Click), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Socials (Social Media). These, in turn, are split into paid and organic activities. Paid, as implied, means paid adverts. Ever run a search for, say, dogfood? The two few results will give you an exact match for what you are looking for along with a snippet of information. If you look even closer, you will see that the result will have a little green icon with “Paid Ad” or something of the sort next to it. SEO is organic. People search for a term and read a blog about the result and possibly enter your funnel. Socials is a hybrid of the two. You can post organic content to platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, or you could take out paid adverts on the same platform. SEM is all about reaching the maximum number of people with the highest visibility related to their search intent.

Search Engine Optimisation

SEO is the best long-term investment you can make in the content side of your business. SEO, put simply, is the art of optimising your website to make sure that you deliver the answers to people’s questions. People search for answers on the internet, and you need to make sure that your content matches the search intent of the user. If a person is searching for your services or products, your website needs to feature in the Search Engine Page Results, and the higher the better. Your content needs to match search intent. Over time, your website will continue to draw traffic and generate leads and conversions. Invest time in it. SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. You will not see immediate results, but over time you will reap the rewards.

Social and Social PPC

Social and Social PPC is a very particular field of marketing. The science of it can be quite obscure. Social media posts are excellent at increasing brand awareness, engagement and visibility. But converting that into solid sales is an entirely different matter. Fusing your organic posts with relevant content into paid ads which really target your audience and offering them something they are truly interested in is a fine balancing act, but an essential strategy to adopt.

If you adopt these three marketing strategies, you will always have a full sales funnel, ensuring that your cash flow is more than enough to help your business grow.
